(Washington, DC) – The following is a statement from The Climate Reality Project President & CEO Ken Berlin on the release of the final Clean Power Plan rule.
“With the release of the final Clean Power Plan rule it is time for states to develop their own plans to reduce carbon emissions. Climate change is negatively affecting public health and creating conditions that have led to a historic drought western states, wildfires, flooding in South Carolina, and devastating coastal storms. The time to act is now and the Clean Power Plan offers states all the flexibility they need to lower emissions while meeting the unique needs of their citizens and businesses. I would urge everyone to take this opportunity to voice their support for the Clean Power Plan.”
