“Climate Reality Project’s thoughts are with the Philippines in the wake of Super Typhoon Goni, a record-breaking storm in a season already filled with powerful and devastating cyclones. Thankfully, early warnings and mass evacuations have spared countless Filipinos, but hundreds of thousands of lives will be irreparably disrupted. Climate change is happening now - in the Philippines, in floods across East Asia, in fires across the American West. We must act now, together, but with developed countries taking the lead, to support resilience and adaptation initiatives and rapidly transition to a global clean energy economy that provides opportunity for all and protects the most vulnerable among us from the worst impacts of climate change.”
