Purna English (they/them/theirs) is the Midwest regional organizer supporting chapters in climate justice campaigns and advocacy. They are an experienced organizer who has worked with labor groups, political campaigns, and environmental organizations. Growing up in the redwood forests of Northern California, they cultivated a passion for the natural world and intersectional environmentalism. They earned a BA in Spanish from Tufts University with a minor in history. Purna was lucky to spend their junior year of college in Santiago, Chile, where they interned with an educational organic urban garden and traveled from the Atacama Desert to the glaciers of Patagonia. Outside of work, they love to knit and crochet, travel, cook, garden, and bike along the Chicago Lakefront Trail.
