Valdenes de Souza Brito, a Black quilombola living in the rural area of Cabrobó, Pernambuco, Jatobá II quilombo. He is a forty-year-old father of three, married to Andreia. He has a high school diploma, low-carbon emission course from the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco-UNIVASF, territorial agent course from the Federal Institute - Petrolina Campus, and has been state coordinator for the articulation of quilombola communities in Pernambuco, and a climate activist trained by The Climate Reality Project Brazil. He is currently working as a director of policies for the quilombos of the municipality, assigned to the special secretariat for the quilombola peoples of Cabrobó.
