For Marshall Rinquest, getting trained as a Climate Reality Leader in Johannesburg in 2014 was a natural step to learning how to take tangible climate action. His environmental interest comes from his childhood in a picturesque town in South Africa. “I was always worried about how can I preserve this environment,” he says. “How can I preserve this beautiful area of mine?” He’s working to address the climate crisis on a local level, particularly by localizing food and educating his community.
