Our collective challenge is clear: Halve global emissions this decade or risk a future of climate catastrophe.

With our founder, former US Vice President Al Gore, we recruit, train, and mobilize people of all ages and backgrounds to work for transformational change in three areas critical to halving emissions and creating a more equitable future for all.

  • Financing a Just Transition: Mobilizing global finance to build thriving clean energy economies, with a focus on the Global South.
  • Strengthening International Cooperation on Climate: Keeping the Paris Agreement strong and encouraging governments to strengthen their commitments through the COP process.

CAN I DONATE VIA A DONOR-ADVISED FUND?

Yes, donations can be made via a donor-advised fund here. You can also donate via your donor-advised fund’s portal or by calling your advisor and designating us as the recipient. Make sure to search for us by our legal entity name, The Alliance for Climate Protection. CAN I DONATE VIA STOCK TRANSFER?

CAN I DONATE VIA A QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRUBTION (QCD) FROM MY IRA?

Yes, please instruct that the QCD be sent via check to us and include your contact information so we can send you a receipt. If your IRA requires more information, please contact [email protected], and we’ll be happy to assist you.

CAN I DONATE VIA WIRE TRANSFER?

CAN I DONATE IN VARIOUS CURRENCIES?

Yes, donations made online will be processed in your local currency. When you donate online, the amount will be displayed in USD, but will be converted into your bank’s currency upon processing. We are not responsible for any transaction fees incurred by your financial institution.

CAN I DONATE ON BEHALF OF AN ORGANIZATION OR COMPANY?

Yes! You can use our donation page here and select "I'm donating on behalf of a company or organization" on the second step.

DO YOU ACCEPT EMPLOYEE MATCHES FROM AN ORGANIZATION OR COMPANY?

Yes! Many companies will match employee donations up to a certain amount, and we do accept these matches from employers. Reach out to your organization to see if they offer this type of program, and you can email [email protected] if you need any documentation from Climate Reality to facilitate the process.

HOW CAN I MAKE A GIFT IN HONOR OR IN MEMORY OF SOMEONE?

You can celebrate a significant occasion, recognize someone special, or commemorate a milestone using our donation form page here. If you include their contact information, the person you’re honoring will be notified by email, and you can also add a personalized message. HOW DO I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY MONTHLY DONATION?

You can cancel or change your monthly donation at any time by logging in here. You will be prompted to sign in with your email address (please use the one associated with your online gifts) and will receive an email with a one-time link to log in to your account. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam or search your email for the subject line “Your requested login link.”

WHAT IS YOUR TAX ID NUMBER?

IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, Climate Reality is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and all donations are tax deductible for United States federal income tax purposes. In some cases where you receive a good or service in relation to your donation, the full amount of your donation may not be deductible. Where this is applicable, Climate Reality will provide you with information that will enable you to calculate the deductible amount of your donation.

WILL I RECEIVE A TAX RECEIPT?

Yes, we provide tax receipts for all tax-deductible donations. Upon completing your online contribution, you will receive an email receipt. If you complete your contribution via check, money order, or wire, you will receive a tax receipt in the mail within 30 days. For monthly contributions, you’ll receive an emailed tax receipt for each recurring donation you give.

We are not tax professionals and recommend consulting one for any specific questions regarding your tax filings.

If you didn’t receive an emailed tax receipt, please check your spam and junk folders first, then try logging into your account to access your receipt.
