Ivaneide Bandeira Cardozo

Ivaneide Bandeira Cardozo is a historian, has a master's degree, and is a PhD student in geography at the Federal University of Rondônia Foundation. She is an Indigenist working for over 40 years in the Amazon with contacted and uncontacted Indigenous peoples. She is a researcher and founding member of the Kanindé Association for Ethno-Environmental Defense. She has experience in the field of anthropology, with an emphasis on Indigenous ethnology, working on the following topics: territorial management, Indigenous people, diagnosis, ethno-zoning, and territorial and environmental management plans. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Chico Mendes Award, the Ecoa Award, the 75th Emmy for the documentary film “The Territory,” and the Madeira-Mamoré Award Women's Edition.
