(She/Her/Hers) Joanclair is a senior regional organizer for The Climate Reality Project, supporting our chapters throughout the Pacific Region. She grew up exploring the wilderness of California on the weekends and spending summers in the Northeast on the water, which gave her a deep sense of environmental stewardship. Her degree in environmental science reflects that and brought her to studying baleen whales off the coast of Massachusetts, and later working as a nature videographer. Joanclair spent time lobbying and speaking at the United Nations during the formation of the Sustainable Development Goals, which instilled her global environmentalism. She has an entrepreneurial spirit, starting a sustainability consulting company within the entertainment industry, reducing the carbon footprint of film and commercial sets as well as film festivals. In her down time, Joanclair can be found hiking, swimming, watching movies and playing her ukulele.
