(They/Them/Theirs) Kyle Cornish is a southeast regional organizer at The Climate Reality Project, supporting chapters in the southeast region. Growing up in Arlington, Virginia, Kyle made frequent trips to Florida where they developed a deep connection with the natural world, from the mountains to the sea. Since relocating to North Carolina, Kyle graduated from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University with an advanced degree in environmental policy and analysis. Previously, they graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees in environmental sciences and Black studies. Prior to joining The Climate Reality Project, Kyle used their voice to support community organizing around racial, social, and environmental justice issues in Virginia and North Carolina. Kyle is an analytical thinker who utilizes their attention to detail to deconstruct patterns and structures in the world. In their downtime, Kyle enjoys exploring their creative passions including art, music, and design.
