Sylvia Kuria is a smallholder organic farmer and entrepreneur from Kenya, passionate about making organic food accessible. With 15 years of experience, she began her journey on a 0.5-acre family farm, gradually expanding to 15 acres, where she has developed an organic mixed farm and fostered a deep connection to the land. In 2016, Sylvia launched Sylvia's Basket, initially focusing on home delivery and retail, which later transitioned to the aggregation of organic produce for bulk buyers. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and training fellow farmers in organic production and improving market access.
